I do not bathe adult cats unless a skin issue requires it. I have bathed all kittens because the usually either come with fleas and too young to use treatments or the are smelly from shelter life, Use a gentle shampoo for cats because as many said they “clean” themselves so they ingest whatever you put on them. If your kitten is not smelly and flea free just brush it daily to remove loose hairs and distribute skin oils. I have fostered amd bottle fed lots of kittens and have 6 adult cats.
I would recommend starting to trim their nails early. Tip their claws to take sharp points off. Its easy because you can see the quick. Do it while it is sleeping. Ask your vet to show you how to do it. Happy to answer any questions for you.
