Ironically, it did not include the casino and license for the casino.

Were the St. Tammany Parish Gov't geniuses dealing with a company that was on life-support all along??

Churchill Downs Inc. announced yesterday that it will spend nearly $2.5 billion to acquire most of Peninsula Pacific Entertainment’s (P2E) assets.

Uuggghhh…

CDI is the fricking worst. They are hardcore getting into the casino game and out of racing except the first week of May. They are on quite the buying spree of little casinos right now

If it weren’t for casinos at the tracks, racing would’ve tanked a long time ago.

Maybe not tanked, but definitely suffered. Can’t blame a company for pursuing a better revenue stream.

The Fair Grounds got slots because they promoted the message that without that revenue, racing would end due to lack of purse money.

Not sure how a company with 2.5B in assets is on "life support".
