This works when looking at the greater context of their outpacing their supply lines, the Russian soldier's texts with his mother, etc.

This would explain the seeming confusion and many instances where there was an obvious lack of planning (not targeting power and communications at the very start, for instance).

That tweet about the Russians crying during Kharkhiv...

That really hit me. I can't even imagine, especially since there are so many friends/families on each side of the conflict.

This is basically like watching a USSR civil war of sorts.
