The Gepard is the obvious best answer to the Shaheds and other drones but there are only about 40 of them in Ukraine so you can’t cover much ground with that. They really need another 100 of them but as you said, ammo is a problem. They are hungry beasts too that can go through a lot of ammunition very fast. Crews on them already are having to fire in short bursts to conserve ammo. Ukraine can have thousands of men with a machine gun and searchlight rigged to a truck with plenty of ammunition though. Sometimes the best solution is the most primitive. The Ukrainians have shown an incredible ability to work with that they have and maximize it’s effectiveness.
