Yes, you hide under trees and spread out. What you’re looking at is best case scenario thermal vision. There’s about a 5 hour period per day where you might get lucky enough to have it look that clear. It being winter helps a lot. Thermal crossover during dusk and Dawn make thermals almost unusable or at least take a very skilled operator to differentiate signatures. During the daylight the leaves are close enough to body temp to make signatures.
It’s winter so the leaves are gone and not holding heat after the sun goes does.
IR sensors are awesome but it’s by no means a god cheat code to the battlefield.

Emergency blankets with the reflective surface is a good way to hide from it.
