In my line of work, being the person that calls to discuss mundane information that could have been sent via email is a good way to ensure no one ever picks up the phone when you call.

This, and don’t call a 3hr meeting to discuss things that can be hashed out over email. Most of the time the meeting drags on and ends up just being a meeting to discuss the next meeting. Can’t stand it.
