Death’s Door is fantastic

I really got sucked into this game for the past few days, it’s kind of a top down Zelda type game with a bunch of secrets to find and great boss battles. Just the right amount of challenge, by the end it gets pretty hard but very rewarding when you beat a boss or difficult platforming area.
Combat is fun as hell throughout the game, lots of secret areas to explore and all around it’s just a thoughtful well-made game.
Highly recommend, it just got added to game pass and it’s available for every platform.

I downloaded this last night and put in two or three hours before bed. Good shite, can't wait to dive back in.

It's been great. I'm around 85% complete.

Def worth a play through to those who haven't tried it yet.

I beat the game at about 85%, need to go back and find all the secrets. Apparently you can turn day into night after you beat it and there’s a lot more to do. That’s how you unlock the secret “true” ending as well.

I found myself backtracking the moment I unlocked an ability. I really want to try to 100% this game. Still haven't beaten it but want to sit down today with it.

I actually am around 84% now with everything except two shiny items. Had to look up locations for certain shiny items I missed. Ready to take on the boss and then start on this "true" ending. This game has been a nice change of pace.

Yeah for sure, I need to find some more like it. Which boss are you on? There are 3 or 4 final bosses and one really hard final platforming area with a bunch of bulls. That part was harder than the very last boss for me.

I finished the game last night with 100% and got the true ending. Really cool game.
Yea I had to try that a few times. Needed to stop rushing!

The only knock is that I had to grind a bit to level up my character completely but I do not think it is necessary for the 100%. Other than that this game was great start to finish....and the music? Amazing. Really recommend it to people who enjoy SNES Zelda type games.

So far I've gotten to the Urn Witch's inner furnace area, and am really enjoying the game.

The Urn witch stuff is great, really enjoyed exploring the mansion.

Really awesome game. Story was great and did have a feel of one of my favorite games in Zelda link to the past.
I ended up 100%ing it and then going back to get all the trophies on PlayStation. I had to google the puzzle for the garden of love at the estate of the urn witch, but everything else I got organically. Difficulty really is perfect in terms of fighting and secret discovery. And as previously mentioned, the music was fantastic. Liked it so much I bought it for my brother on steam

Nice!
I agree about the difficulty being perfect, it was rewarding without being too frustrating.

I'm in the underground lair of the Frog King now, East of the Door. Trying to unlock the big soul door. The gauntlets of red portal doors have been a bit of a challenge so far. At least for this dungeon.

Are you talking about the Avarice levels? Those are pretty hard but there’s no time limit so I just run around and avoid everyone as much as I can. I also found the power strike with the big electric hammer works really well, where you roll and bring the hammer down.

No, I'm not to the Frog King Avarice level yet.
I unlocked the first red soul to open the door that presumably leads to next Avarice chest. I'm working on the other 3, now.
I see that big hammer, but haven't worked my way around to get to it, just yet. I don't have a lot of time to play, so I'm usually limited to less than an hour a day, so the grind can be a little tough. I've put most of my souls into the Attack upgrade, because the best defense is a good offense, IMO. I think I'm 3/5 on that one, with a few upgrades in the others except the ranged/magic.

Gotcha, yeah I had a time trying to get that big hammer but once I got it that was pretty much the only weapon I used for the rest of the game. The power attack can 1-hit kill a lot of enemies.
