Here is the broadcast/streaming schedule:

The Rolex 24 at Daytona will be streamed across the NBC Sports App, NBCSports.com and Peacock, which will have coverage of the event from flag to flag.

Broadcast coverage of the race coverage will begin Jan. 29 at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBC and move to Peacock at 2:30 p.m. USA Network will pick up coverage from 4-7 p.m. and then Peacock again from 7-10 pm. Coverage will return to USA Network from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. and then move to Peacock until 6 a.m.

From 6 a.m. until noon on Jan. 30, Rolex 24 coverage will be available on USA.

The Jan. 30 conclusion of the Rolex 24 will run from noon through 2 p.m. on NBC.

Large field this year across the 5 classes. I am interested to see how the factory C8 Corvettes fair, they seem to be on the back foot so far but endurance racing isn't just about speed.

This is fascinating, thanks for sharing.

I know next to nothing about racing so I’m riding with Jimmie Johnson (he was the only name I recognized on first glance). I can’t imagine an endurance race…grueling.

It would be really cool to see someone win in two different classes in the same Rolex 24. This year he is racing DPi and LMP2 so he could also win the overall. He is in the "pole car" for LMP2 and second on the grid in DPi.

Also, gotta wear my 116500 today, of course. I’m hoping you wear your Spirit of Japan!

Thanks for sharing.

I normally attend this every year but I’m taking a cruise tomorrow.

Stumbled upon this race a couple of years ago, really fascinating and always make it a point to watch.

I’m totally lost, but it is pretty interesting. Looks like organized chaos at times.

I see Castonevez is a big name on the track right now. Any notable NASCAR guys driving this year?

IMSA as any multi-class racing is initially hard to follow and when it spans over 24 hours you get cars all over the track.

It helps to have a live timing and scoring page up: IMSA

Past driver Jimmie Johnson (now Indycar) is in the Action Express Ally Caddilac DPi car but the field is very short on current drivers with Austin Cindric being the only one, is in the #15 Mercedes in GTD Pro. There were conflicts in testing schedules and with the Next Gen car about to debut testing is too important for them to work around.

I actually prefer the 24 hours of daytona over the 24 hours of le mans.

Probably my favorite race of the year. Sad that the GTDP class doesn’t feature the factory porsche team. Hope they come back to IMSA soon.

I'll have to do some searching around to see if I can find any further info on what they had to change on the Vette's with the move from GTLM to GTDP. On the telecast they said it's down on power and they added 150 pounds along with some aero changes.

Less power and more weight would entail a lot of changes to get the car right.

Yep. This one and Le Mans are on my bucket list. Along with a few F1 venues headlined by Singapore.

I don't follow the BoP stuff closely and it usually takes getting into the season a little bit before it gets ironed out. The C8s were slow in the Roar Before the 24 so they got a BoP break receiving a 1.5mm larger air restrictor and 3 liters more fuel. Then they decided that was too much and gave them 15 kilos of ballast.

I don't like BoP in general but it is the only way to run a large sportscar series. If they allow big V8s with no BoP then Porsche and Acura won't race, if they restrict it to 6 cylinders Corvette, Ferrari and McLaren won't race. But like I said before farther into the season it gets "reasonably" fair in that the cars are fairly balanced but BoP can cripple a team or hand them a win as well.

Also the peacock app coverage is the best coverage I’ve ever seen for this race. Zero commercials. When the regular broadcast goes to break (which is a million times per hour) you just get live feed with sound.

Every year before this my wife was inches away from killing me or ripping the tv off the wall because the imsa “theme music” was blasting every 15 mins coming in and out of break.

It wasn't just BoP from what I was hearing. It was changing the car from a GTLM to essentially a GT3. The cars ran under a different ruleset last year and they had to make them fit the new class.

Yea the GTLM class is dead (my favorite class )

So corvette had to revamp their whole set up. To my understanding all the other GTLM teams (which were almost all factory teams) have dropped out.

It’s a fantastic event to attend. W/ all the action being within the track footprint, it’s great that you can see everything and walk to pretty much every part of the track to get a different view.

Finally getting a few free minutes and tune in just in time to see Kobayashi almost skewer someone coming into the pits.
