Here is what I would...and I actually do from time to time. When I need a football fix, and have time to kill, I catch local schools games.
Sometimes I go right across street from my house at St Thomas More to watch the little league kids play on a Monday night. Sometimes Ill go to Denham Freshmen high school games on Tuesday nights to watch the kids I used to coach in JR high play.
Always go catch a Friday night game.
Go check out the local little league, JR high boys, and high schools. Fun to watch them play, and sometimes you get to see a really talented kid play early, and you can track him throughout high school and maybe even college

Last year I was SO nervous the week of the Florida game ... I posted here (why, oh why!) asking for help (yeah, right). The suggestions came down to a couple of things .... Sex and alcohol.
I pass on the wisdom I've gained from the Rant to you!
(Oh, for what it's worth, I tried both several times and it didn't help as far as my nerves..but it passed the time!)
