Now that the Spring semester has started, are all the 46 players listed on the roster going to be active on this season's team? Isn't the limit 40?

It has to be 40 by first game
The baseball insiders seem to think LSU will redshirt some guys due to injury so those won't count against the 40
Travinski, Leto, Simon are three that missed entire fall, not sure what their status will be but look for Jay Johnson to update roster issues on Friday when he meets with media

The limit is 40. Some liberties can be taken with the limit if guys have to medically redshirt, which we may have a few.
There were some guys added back to the roster that made me scratch my head, I wonder if they will stick around.
Brant Smith has transferred to Northwest Florida State. Dawson Gause has transferred to University of Mount Olive.
Tripp Haddad seems to still be with the program but not on the roster.

No, roster must be reduced

I believe Holt could also be a medical. We don't need 5 catchers so, even if Travinski is a medical, you can't have B Doughty, Wyeth, and Priester on the roster. No reason for Brady to be on the roster either.

As others have said there are some guys that won't see much time such as Brady, Wyeth, Br. Doughty. Holt may redshirt because of an injury. I've heard from one person that says Priester is looking elsewhere and one that says he's willing to stick is out.
I assume Johnson will make this known moving into this weekend.

I would love to know where you people get your information.

I can tell you’re a friend or relative. What has he told you his three year plan is? Picking him up late in the game especially after the McManus arrival has been fascinating because I know he wants to see the field asap even if it’s DH.

Well I have no clue. I just see what looks like a lot of speculation. I would make the assumption that if he was looking to leave he would have done it over winter break and not come back for the spring. But hey I’m here trying to get the scoop like everyone else.

Fair enough and was curious. I was surprised to see him on the roster this spring in a good way.
