If we had won in 2018, we wouldn’t have gone balls-to-the-wall the following 2 years and our cap situation would be much better, allowing for a much smoother transition out of the Brees era. Michael Thomas may never have gotten hurt and we may have kept Trey Hendrickson. That would make for a much more attractive situation for Payton to keep coaching.

Not to mention the rumblings that Brady was strongly considering signing with us in 2020 and would've had Brees been retired by then.

I'd be willing to bet the Brees era ended a year earlier in that scenario. So yeah, hell of a ripple effect.

After the no call and then the BS COVID year, my overall enjoyment of sports has gone down the tubes. That is the only thing making this even tolerable right now....the apathy the no call created.

I dunno about all that but we've definitely been drifting further and further from the Super Bowl ever since that day

Yall keeping going to this, but just remember a year earlier, our "All Pro" safety closed his eyes and whiffed on a tackle. Since that moment, it's been down hill.

We used that play as a rallying point for the following year and were the team to beat in the entire NFL. The No-Call killed the fire the Minneapolis Miracle lit.
