the new I-10 bridge over the Calcasieu ship channel was initially advertised as a PPP which means the contractor has to fund the construction. Unless DOTD has changed this, which i doubt, this is a bunch of lies.....

this changed with the passing of new infrastructure bill

Do they have to build a high in the sky bridge over the Calcasieu? I've been over that I10 bridge a bunch and have never seen an ocean going ship on the north side.

I think the idea is that would, yes, change.
If the feds are going to foot the vast majority of the cost, no reason to PPP it
