Deaths usually lag a spike in cases by about 4 weeks and the reporting of deaths are generally 2-3 weeks behind. That means we probably won’t know the death impact from Omicron for 2-4 more weeks.

Deaths lag cases by 10 days. Deaths reporting is behind deaths by between 7 to 180 days.
