My wife and I are headed to Baton Rouge the last weekend of April for the Garth Brooks concert. She will have finished chemo and radiation by then!!
I think that Friday night we will go to the baseball game for first time in Alex Box Stadium, but inquiring about things to do that Saturday before the concert.
Also best place to stay?!
Thank you Tiger Nation

There will probably be tailgating for the concert.

Wouldn't travel anywhere to watch a commie play music even if it was free.

I have no info on your question, but glad to hear your wife is wrapping up chemo and radiation. Hope it did what it needed to for her to have a long and happy life.

Stay at Lod Cook on campus.

Baseball and softball both are home the day of the concert. Softball is at 11, baseball at 2. Sounds like a great big clusterfrick, parking-wise.

check out tin roof (short drive down nicholson toward downtown). not the best beer in town but worthy of an afternoon trying something different

Ignore all the immature bozos! I love his music and his political views won't change that (Whether I agree with them or not). If you all knew the thoughts/views of everyone you like and made decisions based on that, that list would be cut in half. Get a life losers!

The way the murder rate has skyrocketed in BR, make sure you are both wearing bullet proof vests.

I recommend visiting either one of the finest bar establishments near Campus, Reggie’s or Fred’s!

Check into newest hotels just across the river to the west.

Whatever you do, don't take your wife to Plaquemine Louisiana to visit the oil refineries.

its about 20min from TS but i would check out Istrouma Brewing if you have some time. Average beer selection but great atmosphere and excellent pizza
Also congrats on your wife finishing up chemo!
