I know there's a lot of people on here who dislike John Oliver, but his piece on Police Raids is really good viewing.
But this little quote from a Judge in Georgia is definitely worth looking at, especially for Shorty:
A judge is in complete agreement with you Shorty!
As am I. These raids are bullshite. And innocent lives have been ruined because of them.
Like the poor guy in Mississippi who is on death row right now for killing a cop who was serving a no-knock at the wrong house.
He was trying to protect his infant when the cops started busting down his door. He jumped out of bed, grabbed his gun, and ran to his daughter's room, laid down and pointed the gun at the bedroom door. When it opened, he fired.
The cop who was killed was the son of the Sheriff. So he was charged with first degree murder and the State sought the death penalty.
Because the cops didn't check to make sure they were raiding the right address.
And that's just one of hundreds of fricked up cases spawned by this "policy".

quote:
As a judge in Georgia put it, “either the door comes in and people are yelling, “sheriff’s office” or people yell, “sheriff’s office” and the door comes in.” And that is fundamentally the same!
