very obviously. even if he woke up at second 0 of them announcing, he had 6 seconds at most to develop an awareness of the situation, get up, unlock and open door.

If im awake watching TV on my couch at 2 PM, 6 seconds is still unreasonable, I would probably burn the first 5 seconds wondering WTF is happening.

He'd have been luck to just end up knocked the frick down by the door.

You could be on the shitter. You could be in the shower. You could be pulling something out of the oven. A host of things.

"Knocking" with ZERO intention of getting a response isn't "knocking".
