Help me pick out waders for duck hunting

Looking for reviews good or bad on different waders for duck hunting. Will be using in SWLA and Houston area (flooded impoundment) so likely going with uninsulated. Have a stockingfoot pair for wade fishing but looking for a booted pair strictly for hunting.
Willing to pay 500+ for a pair if they will last. I’ve looked at banded, Sitka, and gator waders so far. What says the OB?

I bought mine as a last minute Christmas gift one year when I was like 20 as my old ones had leaked. I got to TP outdoors and all they had left that remotely fit me (still a little big) were Frog Togg's in mossy oak that had to be rated for hunting in Canada bc they are thick af. I still use them, just make sure you clean them off and hang them up in the off season.
TLDR: I like the Frog Toggs I have, but they are heavily insulated, so I will be backpacking on your thread to find some good uninsulated ones because when its hot they are miserable.

Magellan with the expectation to replace every few years. That said, I'm going 5 yrs on mine, walking through some rough stuff each time...

Banded insulated waders are nice and have inside pockets

I’ve seen mixed reviews about seams leaking on the banded waders. Doesn’t sound like you had a bad experience

No problems
My son has a pair of gator waders that he like also.. I think they also have the inside pockets..

Magellan breathable are awesome. They were on sale for 159 earlier this year
Very comfortable, lighter than neoprene. Still plenty warm

I have banded now and I have had success with Banded waders. Going forward though I am going Sitka or Chene. I would buy sitka first though just because they have been out longer and I have friends that have them. Chene is direct to seller to its hard to put a hand on a pair before you buy them.

If you're willing to pay and you want something that will last you and that you will be comfortable, then Sitka. Not insulated, so you can wear them comfortably for teal. Roomy enough to layer when it's late season. Boot fit is great (lacrosse makes the boots I think). When they tear or leak you can get them serviced - beats throwing them into a landfill. Again... if you can/will pay for it, it's probably the best choice.

I have chene and they are great. Sitka’s are good too. Chene’s policy probably puts them a step above Sitka. If they get a leak they will send you a new pair with a return label for the leaking pair.

When Sitka isn't expensive enough, go with the brand new brand for $100 more...

Banded…
Just got home from a trip to Missouri. This is my 6th year with them and this is the first year they leaked. I haven’t had Sitka waders yet (their other gear is on point) but for the money and comfort I would say banded. They are like wearing wind pants.

Which pair from banded do you have? Trying to distinguish between their lines (red zone, black label and aspire)

I wear frogg togg migration series. Super comfortable and last about 4-5 years.

I’ve got a pair of Gator Wader breathable and a pair of Lacrosse Brush tough. Both of them are great.
