I get the hype and all about lsu basketball but is it a command telling me to do something or a verb (action) that all tiger fans are doing?

Really? I thought it was more of a state pride thing rather than getting drunk?

It means prepare yourself to go to battle.

It’s a command directly from General Wade meaning get with the program/get on board the train before it leaves the station.

Means to have pride... to play for the school you committed to... get tough and play hard.
Now, can you tell me what a bearcat is?

It originally started in the 1990’s….go to YouTube and search “joe blakk featuring tt tucker” . That’s how it started

Boot up means get ready to fight. Also, it works for us because our state is shaped like a boot.

Lots of cats are named ‘Boots’. Especially common if the cat has paws that are uniquely shaded and appear as boots. Regardless of breed, cats also tend to jump pretty high.
Boot Up
It’s a cat (subliminal Tiger) reference. Good question though ~ most don’t make the connections right away.

Boot up was a term in the 90s. It's similar to "mean mugging" or having a belligerent countenance. There was a term "boot in my mouth" being used back in the day with the same meaning explained in the previous sentence. What does it mean today? Maybe the slang has evolved into something totally different.

I think of it like the Toby Keith song.. “we’ll put a boot in your arse; it’s the [LSU] way”

It means to get ready for a battle, or to lace your boots up. Louisiana is also shaped like a boot. It also means to start your computer....lol
