I literally do that. I always park away from others. Battling for the front parking spots is for moms with kids and the elderly. In most places you can park in the back of the lot and still beat the moms and grannies into the store.

Electric cars should park at gas pumps when they need to take a break and get a snack or use the bathroom.

And that is your choice. Nothing wrong with that. But not everyone feels that way.
