You will need a trailer to transport them, and it's hard work (but doesn't take long) to set up and take down.
You need a place to keep them dry when not being used, and you need a place to set them up at home to clean them, dry them out between uses (no one wants to rent a dirty stinky slide or house).
Having basic repair knowledge is good. They do pop holes, the blower fans break, etc.
But a good commercial grade one will last for years. You can get a really nice new one for $2,000 and if you rent it out at $150/weekend (what they tend to go for around here) it won't take you long to recoup your investment. Your operating costs are low.
Hire an attorney to make sure you have a good waiver!
