and tell them straight up front you dont have dental insurance so everything is out of pocket so you arent paying for anything extra. most of them, once they know insurance isnt there to be fleeced, will give you the normal price for things and only do whats needed

Don’t pay it. Just find a new dentist. There is always a new dentist.

Find one who will give a cash customer (patient) the same discounts he gives insurance companies also.
Some will hit you with the full price.
Substantial difference!
