LSU basketball at #2 RPI

I guess I do not fully understand how RPI works. Can someone explain to me why we are so high? Why are we higher than schools such as Baylor? I didn't think our strength of schedule was THAT impressive.

#5 Southern Cal just went down at Stanford Infront a crowd of 6 people in the stands, 2 pm local tip off. They were undefeated.

USC was overrated as hell
They were always ranked way higher than LSU despite LSU playing a much better schedule

15-0 reigning champ Baylor is 9th, six spots behind 15-4 Alabama. Top 3 spots are SEC, another oddity. Bama gets its fuel from beating Gonzaga, Houston, Kentucky and Tennessee. A computer adhering to the formula it's fed doesn't care how stupid it looks.
