This has become a popular narrative around here that is totally ridiculous. II'm not sure if saying this makes LSU fans feel better or what. Recruiting louisiana kids doesn't equal not recruiting Florida. Do you really think they aren't actively recruiting Florida? He's built a big staff that is fully capable of recruiting more than one state at a time.

Billy would be an absolute idiot not to capitalize on his resources and relationships in Louisiana.... a talent rich state where he just coached for 5 years

Man, this board has literally jumped into another stratosphere of delusion ever since the point at which we knew that Lincoln Riley wasn't happening. If you'd have polled this board one day prior to the corey raymond news, the overwhelming majority would've said that he was the best DB coach in the country. One day later, and the overwhelming majority claim that he was complete trash all along.

The mental gymnastics are just otherworldly right now. You legitimately have this whole board saying that it's a good thing for lsu that florida is aggressively pursuing louisiana recruits. News comes out that brian kelly hasn't even spoken to half of our major targets, and this board convinces itself that this is actually great news.

Bottom line: I like the BK hire, I trust BK, I like the staff that he's built, and I don't think the corey raymond loss is the end of the world... but some of the things that people on this board say with a straight face are just complete lunacy. It's an LSU board so obviously there is gonna be LSU bias... but i can NEVER remember a moment in time at which the delusion has been this extreme.

I'm not kidding when I say this: News could drop tomorrow that BK has rescinded the scholarships of every QB on the roster plus Walker Howard, with the intent of carrying over our Texas Bowl offense into 2022 and beyond, and this board would 100% no-doubt-in-mind-mind-whatsoever fall over backwards to praise it as a genius move. The prevailing opinion would legitimately be that it's better to not have a QB, and that all other teams in the country are behind the curve for still wasting scholarships on quarterbacks. I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that this would be the case.

It's crazy to me that there is SO much insecurity among TD posters that NOBODY is willing to admit to themselves that it's possible for bad things to happen. Regardless of what occurs, it is spun as a positive LITERALLY 100% of the time.

A person that saw the DB performances of 2019, 2020, and 2021 and thought the LSU DB coach was the best in college football, is not being objective.

Too many blown coverages and lack of focus for the superior talent on the field.

You might be spending just a wee tad too much time with this board, pahd-no. Your scenarios are not far fetched but maybe you are invested a bit much.
Things aren't gonna change around here whether truth gets pointed out or not - and that's a shame for all of us.
