If you are the current National Security Advisor and in an interview asked "Do you have any information about a plot to kill former Trump officials? What would your administration do if such an attack took place?"...
How else could he answer the question besides the way he did?
"Nah, no threat, no biggie, yawn, next question please.."
Or
"Well we are all hoping that such an attack happens"
Or
"Huh? Hadn't heard about that, was out of the office for the holidays, my bad."
Or
"We have heard about this, oh boy, I gotta admit, we really are scared about this, anybody got any ideas?"
I mean...what else could he say but what he said?

You laugh and don’t say shite. You tell him it’s crazy and we are the most powerful country in the world.
It shows weaknesses and looks like the administration is making excuses. Even worse, it looks like they are inviting Iran to try and acting like that is not the way Brandon would have done it.
