I get the thinking but nothing about Lee's combined performances vs Bama indicate it would have been better. 1 TDs, 7 Ints. 41% completion rate. In the 9-6 game Lee was 3-7 passing for 24 yds 0 TDs and 2 Ints.

If anything, maybe try Mett and hope his release is quick enough and he is accurate enough to slow their pass rush down.

I think the coaching faults for this game lay more in the preparation than the actual game time decisions. Just my opinion.

Les Miles was another coaching idiot. Gave 0 thought to devising a different game plan including what to do when Jefferson did not see open receivers.

There were enough blowouts throughout the season for Mett to get some meaningful snaps. Then he would’ve been the best option on 1/9. But of course he got none.
