What is the HIPAA law? does it protect anyone from being forced by your company to get the vax or letting them know your vaxed or not?

HIPPAA was created to protect a patient's sensitive medical info from being released without patients permission.
It has nothing to do with vax mandates.

No and they keep changing it to keep up with the narrative

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is a federal law that required the creation of national standards to protect sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without the patient's consent or knowledge.

quote:No. HIPAA keeps your healthcare provider (a covered entity) from divulging protected health information on you without your permission. There are exceptions like insurance and such.

Much of it really cranked into gear due to AIDS and the fear people had of being stigmatized having people know they were HIV positive. It’s sort of funny to see the ideas turned on their ears here.

My wife is against me or any of our family getting the vax. she has been fed this HIPAA crap by someone and said I can fight this OSHA mandate. The way I see it, if the USSC does not stop this their is nothing I or we can do. I'm not about to pay for a test every week.
I'm gonna have to take one, or two for the team.

In the current meta, a law means whatever an activist judge says it means.

The HIPAA law is good if you have a sudden, unexpected change in health insurance at work (in our case - major bad change in health insurance coverage) and need to get better insurance outside of the open enrollment time frame.
The HIPAA law is bad because physician office staff will not disclose patient information to family members unless a consent form is signed by the patient. Certainly a spouse, brother, sister, etc. should have the right to this information without restriction, especially if the patient is unconscious and is unable to sign a consent form. Perhaps there is an exception in that case.

HIPAA does not apply to vaccination records.

quote:Bullshite. So husband and wife are in the middle of a messy divorce. Husband goes to see his PCP and is diagnosed with an STD. You want his doctor to divulge that information to his estranged wife? Yeah - that would be pretty. My brother or sister have no business knowing my medical situation unless I want them to know it.
