re: Police: Dog leads troopers to serious crash scene to help save owner

My family had German shepherds growing up and all were great. One time my brother, maybe 6 y/o at the time was playing in a pile of leaves while my dad was doing yard work. Dog started going nuts at the pile of leaves, my dad runs over and sees a copperhead snake in the leaves not far from my brother. Dad got a shovel and chopped it’s head off.

They are outstanding dogs if you keep them active and train them right.
