re: Opinion on getting to stand

It really doesn’t matter. I have parked 1/2 mile and walked in only to walk out and jump deer bedded 10yards from my bike. I have walked in and busted deer at my stand site, unless your a ninja you are not sneaking into a stand area undetected.
All that being said I don’t like having my bike closer than 300yd or so from where I’m hunting. In my mind I can just picture one time that a state record buck comes walking in and sees my bike and starts snorting and stomping. If my bike is 300yds away at least I won’t have to know that’s what kept me from killing him!!
And if you have the right place the best thing is to have some one slow roll to drop you off I have seen deer that will not move if a truck or bike never stops but if it stops they get antsy and bust out.
