Yeah you right, on a court holiday at that, which happens to land on a Friday. Lol yuck. He's pretty much guaranteed to be stuck in there until Monday at a minimum. Then aside from the court matter there will be the bar association proceedings to deal with. It's a damned ole mess. Typically the alleged victim(s) "relent" and indicate their wishes to not proceed with prosecution, but ultimately it's the state's decision how to handle it.

But yessir, this will definitely put a damper on his NYE plans.
