or they should do like most parishes and lease out their parish lands.. concordia gets 22k for a certain 800 acre tract and cameron gets 55k for a 600 acre tract.

I have little faith that most governments spend it effectively. Even if they did I think we need to preserve as much public land as possible.

I’d be for banning air cooled engines on public land and I use one currently. Outboards and pirogues would give a lot of ground some rest imo.

Amen on banning all surface drives on public land. Its a joke what louisiana duck hunting has become on public land. Birds get no rest and people running around every day blowing them out of the area. Make it pirogue or can only use surface drive to certain point and let's see how many fat and lazy 250 pound dudes can pirogue 500 plus yards with all gear etc. Wont change and Louisiana public lakes that were once full of ducks will still be gtr and voodoo exhaust race tracks running all birds off like it is now... Pathetic really

Absolutely. But it will never happen with the 3 biggest manufacturers residing here. I send my annual email pleading my case but they were more concerned with banning drones. They told me drones disturbed the ducks…that’s how disconnected these wildlife commission members are.

Air cooled army is just a part of the problem, changing land use practices, degrading habitat, invasives, better habitat elsewhere and even the sheer number of people fishing (30 years sho there wasn’t an army of sight fisherman in shallow marshes 7 days a week), crawfishermen all play a part

We have a place on a lake and one of our neighbors purchased one of these, he has three boys so they run the thing non stop it seems. Sounds like s freaking airplane taking off every time and is annoying as hell.

That too, it’s why one area is gated off now
