It was already established early on that vaccine was not guaranteed to prevent spread. The big mistake early on in this was not advocating for continued mask wearing and social distancing and sanitizing when things were opening up to complement the vaccines.

The first statement is BS. Social distancing does prevent spread but at some point that was a risk that needed to taken bc continued social distancing was not sustainable for a number of reasons. Mask wearing (except for the N95 type) does nothing.

Back to the topic, please tell me why requiring children to be vaccinated is not a $ grab and a control mechanism given the info available

This is actually 100% false. It was, and still is portrayed as an almost guaranteed method to prevent the spread. Of course, you knew that but you'd never admit it.
