Nobody is telling you you're a POS for having an opinion. BUT, it is a shitty thing to do not "allow" your wife to do something thats largely insignificant because you don't agree and in the end, won't even change the way you think about her other than remembering how you didnt get your way which will cause resent one way or the other.

She'll either resent you because you drew a line in the sand on something that doesnt even really impact you OR you'll resent her because she did something you didnt approve. In the end, it's all pretty petty, insignificant and not worth it.

Give her the thumbs up, tell her how it made her look, take her out to dinner and enjoy the evening. Don't make this JUST about you. Let it be about her and work towards making her feel she never needs it again if thats what you want to do. And if she wants it again in a few months, wash, rinse and repeat.
