But...but he's one of us. Arguably the worst college head coach ever.

O didn’t run anything into the ground. A bunch of pussies decided not to play. A bunch more decided to leave after the coaching change.

LSU at its best this year should have beat Alabama. LSU was inconsistent and had a bad offensive line. That’s not running the place into the ground.

Right now we’re projected to get 8 of the top 20 Louisiana recruits……8. That includes Jacoby Matthews who is more of a coin flip between us and A&M. Thank god we have CBK and SW to dig us out of this mess.

Get over it. You guys are pathetic. He's gone. You guys act like he f*cked your ugly wife.

It's a new day at LSU. Look forward to the future. Stop living in the past. You got O living in your head rent free.

Our struggles right now are a combination of O starting to make the program rot and Kelly making massive sweeping culture changes

We would have had a better off-season if we had retained O, but it wouldn't have been a good trajectory for the long-term. I'm not sure if all of the changes we have made have been fully necessary, but I'm not about to start backseat coaching a brand like Kelly before he's had a chance to prove anything here.

And.....most of you have no idea how bad it became from an organizational, management and coaching point of view.

It will take the British (Irish) Knight a little while to clean up the rotting Shrimp heads and throw the shite smelling garbage out.

I'm not that concerned about what's currently going on with recruiting or hires. (Unlike all the juvenile Rantknockers that are freaking out over nothing worth being concerned about)

Just get it right and move on to a "Saban Machine" like effeciency......

The dudes recruiting classes are as follows: Orgeron/LSU Kelly/ND 2017-7 10 2018-15 10 2019-5 15 2020-4 18 2021-3 9 So how is Ed Orgeron at fault for 2022 recruiting woes when our class was ranked 3rd in the country before Woodward fired him(which has been his MO since he’s been here)?!?! Oh, that’s right, we are LSU fans and we lack the ability to acknowledge that there’s always several factors involved in a situation. The last 3 years LSU’s class rank avg was 4.0 (with 1.0 being the best), ND’s avg over the last 3 years has been 14.0. So how exactly is the guys 10 classes behind on average the last 3 years gonna save us?!?!

Read it again and weep over your supposed ND savior.

Won the GOAT Natty and Heisman in his 3rd year. In 2020, lost 15 players to the NFL, 5 NFL players opted out cuz of Covid, lost Brennan in game 3. In 2021, lost Brennan the whole year, had unprecedented injuries and still basically beat BAMA and had a huge upset over A&M. Ran the program into the ground. Got it.

Coach O ran this place into the ground

I agree O is responsible for the current state of the program. He recruited well in some areas, but was deficient in others and in an ability to manage a program like LSU.

However, i disagree that we have been "(run) into the ground". i was @ LSU in Hallman days and we are still in better shape now than then. And we are putting grownups back in charge.

.500 over 2 seasons isn't "into the ground". it's been worse. i'm hopeful for the future. we'll get the NIL, recruiting & roster mgmt figured out.

Yes. O is responsible for where he left the program, but i'm not worried about him anymore. we may not currently be ranked in top 25 in FB recruiting, but the avg quality of our currently signed classed is only matched by a handful of teams. this is more of a 2 year blip than a program that's been run into the ground. IMO

The NCAA is the NFL's bitch. Having said that, allowing collegiate football athletes to receive compensation (or whatever) will spell the doom of collegiate football.

So where do I complain about my taxes going to support collegiate football athletes? You do realize those tax dollars eventually trickle down to those collegiate athletes, right?

Downvote away!!

Alleva’s hiring of coach O was one of the most mystifying hires I have ever witnessed. His decision to replace one of the most successful coaches in LSU history with one of the least successful coaches in SEC history was simply mind-boggling. You can’t take an interview over a terrible head-coaching résumé. It’s gonna bite you in the arse every time.

The problem is largely that Coach O was a lame duck coach for all of recruiting season. Until that happened he was recruiting at a top level. When no one knows who the coach will be or which of the assistants will stay, it’s impossible to bring in recruits except for locals who grew up ride or die LSU. Thank god they have a 5* QB in the backyard.

Nahhhhh. We were the victim of the perfect storm. The success of the 2019 team meant we lost two coordinators, the seniors (including the best college QB ever), and most of the junior class, as they all cashed in on their opportunities. Then COVID took out the most talented sophomores. We entered he 2020 season with maybe 4 starters from the rear before….then injuries took us down further. No one could piece together a competitive SEC team from the scraps left behind. O couldn’t recover from that, especially with a marriage falling apart and Title 9 clouds overhead. Just a perfect storm of events that no one else experienced.
