possible repeat of 2003 nc game?

LSU has a much harder road to get there. Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and SECG. Since Ol' Miss beat UF you have to watch out for them as well now b/c they can sneak up on you.

Still way too early. The meat of our season is just now getting here. We still have UGA, Bama, a surprising Ole Miss, a trap in USCe, the SEC E champ to beat (heck...UK or Vandy at this point).
UF is just one hurdle with many more challenging ones to follow without a break in between games. LSU can do it...but man it's going to take an extremely disciplined team and perfect coaching.

I'm not really sure how much "sneaking" Ole Miss is doing. They are a handful of plays away from being undefeated and ranked in the top 20. But your point is dead on, Ole Miss isn't a gimme. Hell, it never is, even when they're down.
In answer to the question, yes. In the unlikely but increasingly possible event that LSU keeps the "undefeated every 50 years" streak alive, their most likely opponent will be Oklahoma.
With that said, I think Mizzou beats OU in the B12 CG. Then we would have a Tiger tangle.

since when does beating Florida in October put us in the NCG in January?

Did you learn anything from last weekend??? There are TONS of upsets to be had this season.

Actually, I think that this season will be very much like 2003 in that:
It will be SEC vs Big 12
All of the top teams will have 1 loss
USC will get left out, will beat the snot out of a Big 10 team in the Rose Bowl, and will whine to the AP that they should be #1
The Tigers will win the BCS title (just not sure which Tigers it will be)

And a lot of luck. Luck plays a very important part in getting to the MNC. One bad bounce of the ball can cost you a trip there.

Highly unlikely.

Sooner fans left a bad impression with me unlike the buckeye fans. Would prefer just about any team other than Oklahoma playing against LSU in a championship game. How about USC?

gosh these suggestions of NC games opponents are sooooooo premature

We're fans, not players or coaches. We can enjoy that fact by being able to speculate on these types of subjects. It's one of those things that makes being a fan fun.

Even if we beat Florida, we have USC, Georgia, Alabama and Ole piss and none of those are gimmes.

Too early for all this. A lot can happen. Check back on Thanksgiving day.
