NIL is in response to players not being compensated....but what is very clear is that those who will get NIL are a limited number and in fact they are compensated for their skills and performance but the compensation is deferred. How many biology majors in college who go on to get a medical degree get NIL. How many biology majors get a full ride, meals and boarding and medical expenses. How many English, Biology, Business, or Education Majors are "drafted" at the end of their college careers for millions and then get a retirement also worth millions after 5 years.

Don't give me the story that the college athelete is not compensated..you are tainted by the ignoramous sports writers who started this moronic line of thinking.

If they get NIL then they should pay all of their costs of attendence...all of them

That's actually a good point.

I think it's ridiculous some people's response to not liking the structure of nil for college is you must hate capitalism or you are a hypocrite.

Doesn't make sense. You want them to pay for an education that the NCAA/NFL is forcing on them in the 1st place. They are going to college because they can't go pro until after 3 yrs

Free tuition, free room-and-board, first class nutritional and educational facilities (including tutors) not available to other students, and other perks associated with being a "student" athlete are compensation. Just ask any kid or parent who's either had to take out loans or, God forbid, work to pay tuition.
