People are looking at this wrong. Sure, you could think we already got Walker, no need to pony up a bunch of NIL money for him. But this is not being used as a reward to the Walker Howards of the world, and it’s not even to get a business’s typical ROI with spokesmen. It is simply to entice the next Walker Howards of the world to come to LSU. The ones that aren’t legacies and didn’t grow up loving LSU and going to Tiger Stadium. You’ve got to pay the current players in order recruit the next batch.
