The main story missions are interesting. I haven't finished the game yet, but they stated Atriox is dead. I hope not, cuz he's the only enemy that approaches chief on the badass scale. Would love to fight him.

Just met Harbinger, we shall see what happens with her. No idea on what her species is, but they monologue that she's worse than the flood. I find that difficult to believe.

I like that chief talks a bit more than usual in this game, it works because his dialogue doesn't feel out of place for his character.

I enjoy that the enemies feel a bit tougher than usual in a Halo campaign. Some of the bosses in close quarters are VERY hard. Especially the cloaked Elite.

As for the side content, it's just ok. It kinda gets bland after a while. I wish there was a little more variety in it, and a new biome would be cool.a new campaign coming to the game down the line would be great, gimme a desert continent.

Overall, it's definitely the best of 343's single player games IMO. Will update as I finish.

Hopefully the ending isnt a cluster frick like Halo 5.

It’s fricking awesome and I love everything about it. 0 complaints so far.

Played from 8pm to 2am.
Found and finished everything in the first exploration zone last night. Did the first FOB mission in second zone.

Just made it to the first open world part. Damn this map is huge.

Having a great time so far liberating the different squads and taking on the FOBs. It may get repetitive, but I like upgrading my equipment so it hasn't been an issue yet.

This game is fricking beautiful and the music is fantastic.

Love it so far, just made it to open world last night and took FOBs, squads, and tower. Had a ton of fun.

This game could be absolutely insanely good if they add in DLC every 2 years opening up new lands/biomes and having new campaign stories.

Multiplayer is lights out good, assuming they tweak the battle pass to get better there. This really could be the flagship game Xbox needs.

Do the squads you liberate congregate somewhere? One group followed me for about 20 seconds and when I turned around they were gone.

The next group said they would see me at the FOB, but no one was there when I grappled past it.

New marines spawn at FOBs, and it’s based on your Valor amount.

If you check the FOB progression menu you’ll see that as you gain Valor you will unlock spawns at FOB for 1 assault rifle marine, then 1 shotgun marine, 1 commando marine, etc.

Son of a bitch.

I spent 5 minutes giving those clowns power weapons so they could go with me.

I’ve had good luck having marines follow me on foot if I slow down just a little bit and give them time to cover difficult terrain, but the foolproof way is to load them all up in the razorback. It’s a bit hilarious when you’re rolling around with 5 guys using snipers and power weapons.

Either way, anyone following you will despawn if you fast travel or you might lose them if you move too far ahead, but you can always find more at spawning at FOB.

You need to use the grapple to get away from him. Take the jackals out first. Plasma nades frick his world up after you pop his shield

Skewer or some kind of sniper to headshot him, grapple away. He's not that hard.

Yep it's all about the grapple, makes the fight super easy.

After playing the outer map, clearing some of the first area and playing the mission, I can safely say not making this coop from the launch is the biggest gaming sin of 2021.

I sure wish they’d have out in some of the older weapons into the campaign.

you have to fight another hammer mini boss not too much further into the game. he’s a little more difficult, but as the others have stated the grapple is the key. This one you can/should grapple to a ledge in the building and f him up as he runs around yelling he can’t find you.

This campaign was very very fun.

Chiefs dialogue and armour. 11/10.
The soundtrack…. Legendary. 11/10.
The more tribal elements with the emphasis on drums was a HUGE decision.
Wish Atriox would have been in the game more but I still loved the banished.
This game really did feel like the set up for a new trilogy of Halo games. So I am absolutely ecstatic because 343 finally seemed to go back to Halo’s roots.

I will say, give one dude the enhanced Skewer and he will frick up everything in a 2 mile radius. I'll be driving along and all of a sudden a moon shot Skewer will take off and enemies I didn't even see start flying all over the place.

Just finished the campaign on Legendary

Anyone else really impressed with how they tied the story together and fixed the Cortana plot from 5? I honestly can't believe they pulled it off this well

Atriox is an awesome main villain, especially after the opener of him destroying Chief

Adding in the Endless in a believable way (immune to the rings firing) has me really excited for the future of Halo.
