Scarborough also noted that schools where Coach Kelly has just visited, the high school players and coaches have been “blown away “ by Kelly.

The high school coaches are going to be shocked to see what a real football coach sounds like when he comes to their school. It’s closer to Saban coming to their school than O. A guy who carries himself as a professional is such a huge change of pace for LSU.

Kelly knows what he’s doing and more importantly, what we need to be competitive next year at every position. I think you see a Michigan state type of dip into the portal for us as we’ll likely have more current players leaving.

He mentioned Gabriel from UCF as one to watch. He also said there was another one that is drawing real interest but wouldn't give the name. Mike bad wanted to blow Corey Raymond up tonight but refrained. He was pissed about all the "sky is falling" whiners that have been blowing him up about Raymond leaving as if it were the end of the world. Him and Buddy are firmly on the "CBK has/is showing that he's way ahead of this stuff" and none of this is a surprise to him.

We are going to need transfers with the ability to play immediately to stabilize things, but it’s a balancing act with our depleted roster. We still need to sign a decent class out of HS to get the pipeline back up and running, otherwise you’re in the same boat in a couple of years. Unless he’s able to get a bunch of guys with 3 years of eligibility.
Glad to see him hitting the trail though. For once I’m confident that we have a coach who can manage the roster over multiple years.
