No, i didn't miss the point. Your point was that Joe Brady incorporates plenty of smart wrinkles into his offense, and you listed option routes as one of those wrinkles.
I was pointing out that option routes aren't really a wrinkle, nor do they prove anything. They are completely ubiquitous. They may have been considered modern 20 years ago; nowadays, if you do not run option routes, you can't even coach a HS offense.
