pittman, i think favorite said he remembered being recruited by saban. I could be wrong though

Saban may have recruited Beckwith, but he did not sign him.

Certain members of the class of 2005 committed to LSU while Saban was still the coach, including Darry Beckwith. However, Les Miles signed these guys and honored their commitments.Also, these guys were going to LSU no matter what. That is why they committed early. To me, they are Miles recruits.

Were there any guys who de-committed when saban left and who were they? I have always wondered that, I didnt follow recruiting at all back then.

most of those guys that Saban brought in, were coming to LSU whoever was the coach,
its not about who recruited them, but WHO COACHED them for the 3or 4 yrs that they played.

The biggest, as I recall, was the TE that switched to Miami - DajLeon Farr. Had maybe double digit catches in his career at Miami and transferred to Memphis. Big loss there.

Saban built this program to the prominence that it is at today. Miles just continued it.
