Minnesota is still recuperating from a snobby academic self-nuke that looked down on the hoi polloi of football fans for about 40 years. They're reconfiguring. The fanbase exists. It's just very jaded, and in very much the exact same place that Wisconsin was pre-Alvarez.

Those states are the same. I've seen Minnesota fans sell out women's effing volley ball games. Prior to the Big Ten blowing up college hockey, Minnesota home games were the hardest ticket to get in town. They're there. It's very much a "if you build it, they will come" thing.

Minnesota -should- be a strong program. They have piles of money in that state.
