Moorish invasion of Spain in the olden days is what Europe is heading toward now.

European powers need to put their navies in the Mediterranean now. End the Schengen agreement. Pull up the drawbridges. Save our culture. Spain was unrecognizable when the Moors from North Africa invaded and Islamified Spain, which had been a Christian powerhouse. In 1492, the Spanish reclaimed their peninsula, but PC culture is trying to bring that back.

So a renaissance of science, arts, architecture, technological advancements?
The Alhambra in Spain which the Moors built is one of the most renowned castles in the world and its almost 700 years old.

Spain was a Christian powerhouse before the Islamic invasion? Good lord... what is now Spain was borderline irrelevant prior to the Islamic invasion, other than being disputed territory. Spain became a Christian power after the Reconquista. Go read a book

Now hold on, you don't have to end Schengen to stop the invasion. The nations of the EU just have to come together a sign a treaty establishing a common external immigration policy that stems the invasion and has the whole of Europe helping to protect the external borders from migrants.
Right now, the immigration policy for the whole of Europe is being dictated by Italy and Greece who are too poor and weak to stop the flow of migrants. Once they get there, they can go anywhere. Rather than have everyone's immigration policy decided by the weakest link, they need to just decide on one policy and all work together to defend it.

Why is it that self-loathing pathetic wretches grab on to ANYBODY other than their group to rhetorically fellate?

Eh, methinks you don't know much about Spanish history.
Before the Moors it was the Visigoths. Do you think they were the Spanish originators? Nope. And before them the Roman empire ruled the Iberian peninsula, who took it away from someone else.
When the Moors conquered the Visigoths they ruled for roughly 700 years. Longer than the current "Spaniards" actually.
History is an interesting thing. If you go back far enough you realize some group was always taken over by some other group.
Who really has claim to geographical areas? The most powerful at that time, that's who.

I agree he doesn’t know much history, but his point is valid.
This is true enough, and if anything it reinforces the idea that Europe must protect itself.

quote:No, not Europe after the Moops were beaten back. Before that. Yes, they knocked down churches and replaced them with some pretty mosques and other shite, as is their shitty tradition.

Man, you don't just watch your wife get nailed by the bull. You take his dick all the way up your own arse too, don't you?

That's ugly. Look what they did to the Hagia Sophia in Turkey. Was once a beautiful Christian church, now it's an abomination.

His entire premise is off.
I could actually argue that Muslims have more of a claim to Spain than the current Catholic Spaniards. After all they ruled for much longer.
It was just an overall bad thread. Simply say "If Europe wants to preserve their current culture, they need to fight immigration."
He used a horrible example.

I'm not trying to rationalize modern Islam or anything like that. I believe it encourages violence. But your statement about the history of Spain is wrong. In fact, the local population peacefully converted to Islam. Evidence suggests that most Muslims in Spain were not immigrants from North Africa. They were Spaniards (i.e., Iberians).
It also just so happens that the Islamic culture of that time was one of the most learned cultures of its day. The university at Cordoba was the best in Europe during that time. Medieval Islamic culture valued knowledge in a way that Medieval Christian culture did not.
Again, I'm not saying this to excuse modern Islam or jihadism or any of that crazy shite. But your historical narrative is wrong and somebody should tell you that.

I'm by no means a Muslim sympathizer, I think Islam is one of the more abominable religions of the world, but don't doubt the beauty of their architecture.
Spain has some of the most stunning religious buildings that are a mixture of Moorish and Catholic influence. The Alhambra in Granada is unbelievable, and more so because of the Muslim architecture than the Catholic architecture.
