Our government has gone so off-track, I pause and listen to what the Russians have to say

The US/EU/UN/WHO = collective west.
It's like Star Wars.
The collective west is the Empire subjugating the universe. Are we the baddies?

What action did we take that forced Russia to roll tanks into Ukraine lob missiles killing women and children, and artillery strike entire cities to rubble?

Cuba is probably the most accurate comparison, but even at the height of the cold war the worst we were ready to do was arm a bunch of Cubans to try to start a coup.
At no point did we roll American troops into Havana because we didn't like their government.

It's not in US interests to have Russia (or anyone else for that matter) invading anyone they don't like, or gets mad at because of mean tweets. There days of empire building are over and need to stay in the past, as they just lead to massive conflicts where everyone suffers.
Wars in Europe in particular tend to spiral badly. Our economy is dependent on trade with Europe, so it's in our best interests to nip this in the bud before he starts doing this shite elsewhere that might require a more direct response.
