I have no idea what’s been talked about in the locker room, but the first 3 matches teeing off, all 3 US players have missed right. All 3 European players have been in the fairway or missed left.
Given you have tree trouble right, and a pin on the right side why on earth is your Miss not left?

Almost no one on the team can find a fairway. Europe hits it in trouble…let’s hit Driver instead on an iron to the fairway and hit it in an even worse place

It means the team is UP 9 holes with only 7 holes left so the match is over.
1UP means after 18 holes the team won by one hole with no holes left.
2 and 1 is they are 2 holes up so match is over bc only one hole remains.
4 and 3, team is up 4 holes with only 16,17, and 18 to play
