4-0

Two weeks to study, plan and rest.

The, we play a pretty solid Utah State team at home. 11AM game in morning gives team 7-8 hours post game vs a night game. Get lots of key defenders back. All extra time is good time.

Meanwhile, Florida has a tough physical game against The Barn, and has to travel to Tiger Stadium the next week.

Aranda gets two weeks of games to get ducks in a row.

Then to struggling Moo State.

Then, our strong passing game goes up against a poorly ranked Barn passing Defense at home in Tiger Stadium, against a true freshman for The Barn.

Then 2 weeks off to prep for trip to GumpVille.

We have lost numerous consecutive times in a row to the Gumps, as we all know so well...but the law of averages is in our favor. We, however, have that crazy pattern and have won 5 of the last 9 in GumpVille.

Then Ole Miss, Arky and the Faggies.

I like the setup/pattern.

It won't be easy, but the setup is as favorable as we could hope for.

So what about Bama giving up 31 to Ole Miss? The LSU defense has been banged up and I assure you they will get better... pretty sad if that’s your true outlook. The defense will catch up.

What about a team like Texas? Who beat a team like Georgia this year, or very recently. That was on a neutral site and we beat them at their house son. We held them to one score in the first half. Second half we had some miscues and since then haven’t been healthy.

It’s just like the idiots who said we would get stomped by Auburn both years but especially after the loss to Troy. Teams play other teams differently in different circumstances. It’s just the way it is. You can’t go off of previous games or games of like opponents. Generally with LSU you can’t go off of recent trends because as you think they’re done boom they’ll knock off the number 1 or 2 team in the country and crush their seasons hopes. As soon as you think yea we have this season under control boom we lose to freakn Florida and give them confidence to make a seasonal run. Just enjoy the ride Bubba but don’t pretend like you know shite either way bc you don’t dipshit

Yeah , you can look for three losses this year. This team has 0 defense. It's one of the worst, if not the worst, defense in the SEC. It was even talked about on ESPN earlier today. So the cats out of the bag. Every team going forward knows LSU is offense only, shut that down, and its over. Any team that gives up 38 to Vanderbilt will give up a lot more to teams like Auburn, Florida and Alabama. These teams will also have more defensive stops of this LSU high power offense. In the end it spells disaster.

Reading your posts, you are a pessimistic little twat. Either lighten up and take some antidepressants, or go get some snatch.

So teams were previously playing LSU thinking hey we really don’t have to shut their offense down? I’m pretty sure every game this year the teams went into it trying to shut down LSU’s offense and haven’t yet. It’s not like the team has to choose to stop the offense vs. the defense. Need to beat both of them.

For the record, LSU defense only gave up 24.

C'mon man. Every team looks at how they need to shut down the opponent's Offense, and how to attack their defense. You are accustomed to panicking every year. Just be happy with the success, bro.

blatantly not true

ESPN!?!?! oh no!!

literally no team is going to "shut that down".

LSU gave up 24 points on defense and 14 through a fumble in the endzone and a pick 6. what about alabama giving up 31 points and 25 first downs to a lousy Ole Miss team? Does alabama have a "bad defense" too?

Disaster? LSU will beat auburn and florida, both in baton rouge.

This season has a schizophrenic look going into the meat of the schedule.

Are we looking at the second coming of Lou Tepper, a team that can't overcome its defensive shortcomings?

From what I've seen so far, it could be a redux of 2011, or 1998. We won't know until Oct. 12.

Actually our defense gave up 24 points, not 38 to Vandy. Georgia gave up 28... I guess they are terrible too.

Sure, "only shut that (top 5 scoring offense in the nation) down and its over."

LSU's defense didn't "give ups 38 to Vanderbilt" They gave up 24. The offense gave up 2 touchdowns and we still beat them by 28.

& when LSU drops over 60 on Florida, Mississippi St. Arkansas, A&M and Ole Miss its gonna make our defense in retrospect look really good (upper half of the SEC & upper half of the west).

And I don't know about you, but I will gladly take an offense that averages 58 points a game, but we give up 4 touchdowns a game.
