LSU's NCAA passing rank now vs. past 5 years:
2019: 432 yards per game(2nd)
2018: 229 yards per game(67th)
2017: 204 yards per game(84th)
2016: 190 yards per game(101st)
2015: 180 yards per game(106th)
2014: 163 yards per game(116th)
Do yall think this can last against Florida, Auburn, and Alabama?

Well we can literally only go down in pass yds/game rankings so there’s a good chance that happens, realistically speaking.

sure, why not. we got Jeaux Burrow!

at this level?
maybe not
at a very high level?
yes
Also, we haven't seen these teams play an offense with a pulse yet.

Not if we keep playing 11 am games.

Winning vs future SEC opponents comparable to saying you've got your beehive under control.

If it becomes an "offense by committee"? Maybe. But I seriously doubt it.

2 keys* the offensive line (duh) keeping Joe upright
Developing a consistent running game

When all the receivers are healthy there is no team in the country that can guard Jefferson, Chase, and Marshall. They can choose to stop one and maybe slow down another but they can’t stop all three.

Even averaging a worst case of only 250 per game for the last 8 games would still be a season average of 311 per game.

We won't pass for 400 against Auburn.,

We're all wondering the same thing.

You are correct. Joe can only throw so many passes in a season before he "runs out". Need to start conserving the passes until we hit the meat of the SEC....hey wait!

Is 432 passing yards per game sustainable? Let's examine this question.
Number of teams that averaged 400+ in each year over the last 10 seasons:
2018: None
2017: None
2016: 1 (Texas Tech)
2015: None
2014: 1 (Washington State)
2013: None
2012: None
2011: 1 (Houston)
2010: None
2009: 1 (Houston)

What if we only score 35 points per game....will that be enough against Florida, State and Auburn?
Posted on 9/23/19 at 1:18 pm to SaintsLSU1Fan
I think it's relative. We're playing much better relative to how we usually handle non conference/cellar dwellars (for example: we're not having to hold on in the 4th to beat Towson). So i think it will be the same when we get to the meat of the schedule. it will be better than what we are used to but it won't be the same numbers you're seeing now, due to the teams having better players on defense.
