Paper megaphones...

I think this is something that can legitimately increase the noise level in TS.
Doesn’t take much...rolled up game program. Even a piece of construction paper could work.
To me this type of small but concerted effort could make more of an impact on the actual game.

And scream fro the diaphragm, not the throat. Get some bass and force in your voice and it will carry farther. Bass waves are longer and less directional than hi-pitched/hi-frequency waves, and therefore will travel greater distance. Think of the bass in the car passing by. First thing and last thing you hear is always bass.

I said it in another post, but again—banging a ring on the chair back (especially the metal bleachers) is as loud and annoying as a cowbell. And you can still hold your megaphone and yell with your other hand.

Funneling noise only helps make it more directional. An analogy would be to put a lantern in a reflective funnel. Your not producing more light but it will be focused. Not to mention you can funnel your scream with your hands.
If you want to increase the amount of sound produced then scream and beat the bleachers with your feet and hands. Clap if you must. I usually have to pace myself and reserve my screaming for third downs and situational first and second downs otherwise I lose my voice by the 4th quarter. If I can’t scream then I make sure to at least clap.

We really need start organizing the season ticket holders based on voice range. Maybe assign voice lessons prior to the season that way we can A cappella Neck and really get the most out of fans.

I do love some science threads but be careful of getting too organized (a la the Aggies). Ha ha.
That said always bring the noise from the diaphragm. A stadium of Pavarotti helps too

Is this a serious thread?

Texas A&M does this and their stadium atmosphere is still shite.

For years I used to bring a little plastic megaphone. I'm already VERY loud, but making noise through this thing ALWAYS had people in the rows in front of me turn around and look like, WTF is happening up there?!?"
Similarly what works great is cutting the bottom out of a stadium cup. I'm sure we all have a few of those laying around the house...just cut the bottom out and bring it along. they'll allow you to bring it in since it's not just an empty cup. Or you could do it in the stadium when you get a drink, though you'd have had to get in a pocket knife for those not going through metal detectors.
No...not MORE sound. but it definitely directs the hell out of it and really does seem to make a difference. If nothing else, having one in hand reminds you to use it...

Jack Daniels is a very good voice enhancer. I suggest everyone give it a try

Good idea. We can have them at midnight before the games and dress like milk men.
