For those still clueless about why we don't pass, or why we wont even attempt to create any continuity in the passing game. PLEASE read this article.
There's ONE MAN at the heart of this shite.
Look at the formations each game. ITS ALWAYS two TE's and a fullback. Hell, we even had entire seasons where the running game was blamed on the lack of a fullback,

Mike Gundy and Josh Henson will be on opposite sidelines Friday night, but for years, they were allies in the offensive room at OSU.
During the Les Miles era in Stillwater, Gundy was the offensive coordinator and Henson was the tight ends coach, and they had very similar ideas about offense.
Not that everyone agreed, though.
“We had a lot of discussions of what he and I thought would be productive some day in college football that would go on deaf ears with Les because it didn’t involve two tight ends and a fullback,” Gundy said, chuckling. “We joke about that now.

Les Miles enjoys and has a want for power football. Surprised?

I just want it to be clear that it doesnt matter who the play-caller is. Its 100% originating in the Les Miles MO. End of story. Cam Cameron is not going to go over the head coach.

This only tells what weve been knowing, this is Les Miles offense. We know.

Good. Name an assistant coach that can go over the head coaches wishes in any sport at any level.
Please. List them.

I wouldn't have it any other way. Just want the TE's involved in the passing game

Have you ever noticed that, after one drinks a case of beer, and the vision is blurry, that the Green Bay Packers in their road uniforms look exactly like LSU is playing?

That Coach over in Alabama has the way of thinking and it won him 3 MNC.

Stupid shite like this is why it's impossible to have a legitimate discussion about the offense on this board.

Shocking.
Go cheer for a different team or go be a fan of Baylor, TCU, Utah, etc in 3,2,1...

you can't say the reality on this board about SABAN.
People need to adapt to change and LES is not one of them.

There are individuals out there that actually do not believe this is Les' offense

What is there to change?
We have a running back averaging over 200yds a game and you want to change that?
There is only one team in the nation with the players to stop us, why would we change for one team. FWIW I don't think they stop us this year!

LSU is built to be a running team and that's what they should do but there is no reason to not be a lil better in the passing game considering the weapons

Says the guy who wouldn't run the football before blowing a 17 point lead one night in Ames...

Les Miles was the guy who blew a 21 point lead at home with a team that had 5+ first round draft picks.
Want to know what changed in the 2nd half? He stopped playing and ran the ball over and over and over again.
His QB? One of the most successful and talented QB'S in LSU history.

They can also throw intermediate routes and to TE's

And thats what this is meant to address. Its clear as day that it is. Changing any coach other than Les Miles will amount to no change, as it has before.
We've had
2 RB Coaches (Larry Porter & Frank Wilson)
5 WR Coaches (Todd Monken, DJ McCarthy, Billy Gonzales, Adam Henry, Tony Ball)
3 OL Coaches (Stacy Searels, Greg Studrawa, Jeff Grimes)
4 OC/QB Coaches (Fisher, Crowton, Studrawa, Cameron)
Basically, after 2008, we started to pass significantly less.
2005
Passing 224 (360)
Rushing 150 (509)
2006
Passing 251.7 (368)
Rushing 165.8 (450)
2007 (Played 14 games)
Passing 225.3 (442)
Rushing 214.1 (612)
2008
Passing 201.3 (391)
Rushing 166.8 (495)
2009
Passing 181.8 (336)
Rushing 122.8 (435)
2010
Passing 155.6 (301)
Rushing 185.7 (538)
2011
Passing 152.5 (279)
Rushing 202.6 (591)
2012
Passing 200.5 (356)
Rushing 173.7 (527)
2013 (Mettenberger)
Passing 251 (326)
Rushing 202.3 (523)
2014
Passing 162.9 (276)
Rushing 224.5 (621)
We've only average 250+ passing yards twice in ten years. After 2008 you can clearly see a HUGE discrepancy between passing/rushing attempts.
