I think he’s proven to be a top tier SEC QB. Maybe the best in the conference this year.

But if there is one are he needs to really fix, it’s avoiding big hits.

Love how toughness and he almost always makes the right decision with the ball.

But in 3 games he’s already taken a lot of BIG hits when he runs. We need him healthy to make a real run this year.

Hope he learns to go OOB or slide rather than taking on SEC defenders.

Yes, he still has plenty of areas he can prove

-learn how to slide. think this is like the third time I've seen him slide and he get up limping.

-know when to give up on a play to avoid big hit

-pocket awareness

-stop holding the ball so long needs to be more decisive in decision making and not so late on some routes. still needs to trust his eyes more.

He’s been very consistent this year. Drops vs Florida state hurt him more than anything (not that he was perfect)

I wish he'd try to put a move on them at least. That "leaping into the air" thing scares the shite out of me. And I don't remember him doing it like that last year.

If I was a defense I'd blitz more often than not on JD. He sometimes struggles with where his first read should be at the snap and he has a habit of holding the ball too long because he's not decisive on where he wants to go. Seems the blueprint on him is attack but a lot of teams seem to be scared of his running threat because if you miss he's going to gash a defense for a 40 yard run especially in man. That and also teams are being forced to spread out which limits a lot of their blitzing and he loves hitting the underneath route.

Not reverting back to being afraid to let it go down the field.

We saw JD breakout last year and get better about taking some chances, but then would revert back to being ultra-conservative.

I hope he just keeps progressing in that area.

The JD fan club loves he runs 200 times a year no need for improvement here.

His runs are what helps make him so dangerous.

The point is that when he does run, he needs to protect his body not try to hurdle defenders.

Consistency in regards to going through his reads.

Also just doesn’t see the middle of the field well.

He’s had 1 good game, 1 bad game, and 1 non competitive glorified scrimmage. Let’s see what he does against Arky

When guys are wide open he is overly cautious and sometimes under throws them...a little.

I'm just hoping he continues to push the ball downfield

Looked good yesterday overall, he played a damn near perfect game

O-Line kept him comfy and upright most the day

Consistency.

His performance yesterday will be ruled a scheme success if he can’t be consistent

I assume you’re classifying Yesterdays game as the good game. Some LSU fans are tough nuts to crack. You put up over 400 yards, 4 touchdowns, and almost a 90% completion rate in an away SEC game and all you get is he had a good game. lol

Look around the SEC. Who is better than Daniels so far this year. The kid is a weapon. Yes he doesn't throw perfect in stride bombs yes. But he isn't overthrowing anyone either which you see a lot in college football.

As of yesterday, JD IS the best QB in the SEC. Not an opinion. Fact. Now can he stay there? That is the question. Like what I saw yesterday and hope after 2 great games he now has the confidence to go deep and let his playmakers make plays. And please get out of bounds or slide instead of getting nailed.
