Love those dudes stepping up!

I honestly didn't see that order coming.

The whole pitching staff was great all weekend. Couldn’t ask for more from those guys. Getting hot at the right time.

Really props to the entire staff. No one was bad, first weekend where that has been the case for us since SEC play began.

LSU solved a lot of pitching questions during the SEC tournament. Why the losses didn’t matter and it didn’t matter that LSU went 1-2 with the rant freaking out. They answered and solved a bunch of questions in Hoover.

Damn, this was a good thread

The thing is, if our offense is anywhere near where it usually is, these pitchers don't have to be great or perfect--they just have to be decent. Just go get some outs, don't give up a huge number of runs, and hand it off to the next guy.

And while everyone on here was pissed we weren't trying to win it, the team that did win it didn't even make their regional final.

I will die on the hill that you don't want to win the SEC tournament. It's a psychological and physical toll on teams that many have been unable to recover from.

All which were available because our coach has a Fn brain and threw Skenes game one so he knew what would be available and needed the next 2.

Winning the SEC tournament is fine if you can sweep it in 4 games but if you drop into the losers bracket early and are faced with 5 games you might as well jump on a grenade and end it.

LSU somehow played 6 SEC tournament games in 2009 and won the national championship going unbeaten all the way until game 2 on the CWS finals.

That's because 2009 was the greatest team in LSU history. That team was special even amongst the special.

I've seen some coaches and teams say winning a tournament that is technically tougher than winning in Omaha has caused some teams to naturally shut off after winning it, and it's tough to switch back on so soon.
